Blog Post #6

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. This class has honestly been such a blessing in my life. I’m so grateful that I decided to take it.

I love all the friends I have made from this class. I feel like we really grew into a community. Even thought I was panicking the whole time to finish the homework and stressed the semester, I always looked forward to this class and have grown a lot from taking it. The workload and stress the class placed on me really helped my work ethic and push me past my limits of what I thought I could do.

Noah (The Auditor) and I were already besties for the resties before this class, but this class is also were a met Morgan (The Scholar) and our friendship grew and I’m so incredibly grateful that I met her, like I’m really really lucky that she accepted the gift of my friendship when I offered it to her because she is just the bestest, nicest, funniest, wittiest, big-hearted person and makes me feel so cared for and appreciated as a person. I also had the pleasure of meeting Shelbarrow who has quickly become my mother and she takes care of me all the time. Arian is always down for me and I know I can always go to her and rely on her when I need help. Lacy (The Mauler) is my girl and I know she will always have my back and I hope she knows that I always have hers. Alyssa is my little angel and she always brings a smile to my face; seriously I think that it is scientifically impossible to look at Alyssa and not instantly have every sadness swept away from your soul. I loved when she would make fun of my drawings (they were amazing and jaw-dropping her mocking was uncalled for) and roast me up. Connor makes me laugh with all his impressions and Caleb and I have had some awesome deep conversations and I’m excited to get to know both of them better.

Logan and Kevin are just awesome and the best ever they should both receive a raise of $100000000000000000 per hour.

Dr. Matthews is the goatest goat of all time and even though I won’t have her for a class next semester, I will still see her in the hallways and do our handshake.

Here is a picture of a raccoon being happy because I will try to be happy even though I feel melancholy inside:

Hello humans for the fourth time. Today I will be discussing my photos:

This is my cat Migi or Stubbs in natural lighting. Yes I know he looks majestic, gorgeous, and beautiful. I really like the natural lighting because it makes his golden fur really stand out and like he has an aura.

This is also my cat Migi. This time he is lit with a mix between natural lighting and flash. I like this one because it brings out his eyes, but I don’t like how his fur loses some of the majesty it had in the pure natural lighting photo.

This is my cat Oreo or Mr. Handsome in natural lighting. I don’t like the lighting as much on him as I did on Migi. I think his ear looks very cute lit up but he fur absorbs most of the light except for his white paws (he has cute little sockies) which I think look pretty cool with the light.

Finally this is my cat Destroyer or Denise. She is my babygirl. She was not the happiest with me using the flash on her. But this was my pure flash photo. I am definitely not a fan of just the pure flash. She looks weird and I think her fur looks to bright and it is just not as high quality as the other photos.

Hello humans for the third time. Today I am going to be discussing all that has occurred in MCOM 2313 over the past few weeks.

We started to actually work with the equipment instead of just learning about it. I will say though that I am grateful for all the preparation work we did because it makes actually using the equipment much easier. My favorite thing to do so far has been acting as Floor Director. I guess I love bossing people around. My least favorite thing has been being on a camera. Going into this class I really thought working the camera would be my favorite but I’m quickly discovering that is not the case and I prefer writing/floor directing/editing much more. Working the switcher was okay, although it was tough following Alyssa. I could never live up to the Switcher Queen. The highlight of the semester so far has been developing a secret handshake with Dr. Matthews. I truly think she has helped me obtain maximal levels of swag.

I am excited to start working on the commercials. I think it will be a great learning opportunity to put everything into practice without Dr. Matthews or the lab techs holding my hand.

I think that is all for now. Until next time folks!

Hello humans. Today I am going to be discussing what I have learned in class. Honestly I have not learned a whole lot because I already knew a good majority of the information from work, but what I have learned has been very valuable. I’ve learned a lot of the technical terms for things such as XLR plugs and hyperbolic mics. The one thing I disliked the most was using Final Cut Pro. I VERY VERY VERY STRONGLY dislike Final Cut Pro. I am used to using Premiere Pro and I prefer it. Other than that I have been crushing it.

I am excited to start writing the script and story boarding because that is what I enjoy doing the most.

The end.

Hello humans! I just put about half the classes blogs on my blog roll and will finish doing the rest when I get a chance. I read Alyssa’s blog post and she recommended the Feedreader Online RSS to keep up with everyone’s future post so I may have to download that.
I am using the Google News app for my RSS reader (I think that technically qualifies as one because in the book it says you can use apps) and I absolutely adore it. I am subscribed to five news feeds. The first one is for space travel because I love space. The second is Comedy Central because in my free time I usually watch a lot of stand up comedy. Third is Film Daily (side note: I created a club at UTT and we are starting pre-production of our first short film tomorrow… if you read this please join I am desperate). The fourth news feed I am subscribed to is one for futurism. I love learning about new technologies and how they can shape the future. Finally, the last news feed I am subscribed to is one for veganism because I love animals.

I do not know how to end this so here is a picture of a raccoon learning to use a litter box like a good boy.
